What does 'hand stamped' mean? How is it different than engraving? TOP

Hand stamping is a process where the letters are impressed into the metal with individual character stamps, one at a time. Hand stamping requires a steady hand and strong blows with a hammer to make a clean impression which is much deeper than engraving.

Because each letter is stamped one at a time, there can be slight variations in the spacing and alignment, which lends to the hand crafted feel of the design.

Can I have stamping on both sides of my jewelry? TOP

Unless otherwise noted in the description, only single side stamping is available. Hand stamping requires a heavy hammer strike to make each impression and the impressions can be visible on the backside of the charms.

Some pieces do allow for double side stamping and are noted in the descriptions.

How do I let you know what I want my jewelry to 'say'? TOP

There is a memo field below each item where you can leave the details for your jewelry.

What if I want a different chain length or bracelet size? TOP

All chains are sized at 18" with an extender chain, allowing an adjustable fit up to 19". If you prefer a shorter length, please make a note of it in the customization details memo field.

If you need a longer length, please see the upgrades category to purchase additional chain length.

Bracelet sizing is noted in the description.

Cuff bracelets can be sized smaller upon request.

What is the estimated time for creation and shipping TOP

Please allow up to 14 business days for the custom creation and shipment of your personalized piece.

In stock or ready to ship pieces will ship in 1-3 business days.

What shipping method do you use? TOP

All packages will ship via USPS with delivery confirmation and insurance.

Will I receive an email when my order ships? TOP

My shipping program is not set up to send emails when I ship your package. I have found that more often than not, these notifications go to spam.

Order status is updated every evening on the website. You may check the status of your order at any time by clicking on the Order Status link. You will need your WordsToWear order number and email address.

I need it in a hurry! Do you accept rush orders and expedited shipping? TOP

With the exception of the two weeks prior to Mother's Day and the month of December, rush orders can be accepted in most cases. There is a $7 charge for rush service.

Rush service is a 3-4 business day creation to shipment time.

Please contact me prior to ordering to ensure rush service is available on your order.

Expedited shipping via USPS Express mail is available. Transit time is typically 1-2 days to the 48 states. If yu would like Express shipping, let me know in your checkout notes and I will send an invoice for the difference of $13.50.

What payment methods do you accept? TOP

Payments by Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted through a secure server. Your card will be charged the full amount within 12 hours of your purchase.

No authorization charges are ever made to your account.

Do you ship Internationally? TOP

International orders are always welcome. I ship via USPS First Class mail. Please understand that there is no tracking on FC International packages and the delivery timeframe is unpredictable. Typically pacakages travel quickly, but a waiting period of 45 calendar days is required before a replacement can be shipped.

You may choose to upgrade to International Priority Mail. While there is still no tracking on this option, it is a much faster method of shipping, with an expected delivery of 6-10 days, according to the USPS.

Do you accept returns or exchanges? TOP

Due to the customized nature of Words To Wear jewelry, returns or exchanges will only be offered in the event that we make a mistake. Please double check your customization details for accuracy.

Do you accept wholesale orders? TOP

Words To Wear does offer tiered wholesale pricing on orders of 10 or more pieces.

As a wholesale customer, you will be given a unique login with an automatically appled discount on all purchases after your initial purchase 10 or more pieces.

Words To Wear uses only 'green' silver suppliers and all scrap is recycled. All packaging is eco-friendly.

All Words to Wear jewelry is either Sterling Silver, solid copper or 14K gold filled...never plated!
