WordsToWear Jewelry

Each and every piece is entirely handcrafted in my studio from start to finish. All silver is .925 Sterling or .999 Fine Silver as noted. No plated or Silver filled materials are ever used in the creations of WordsToWear designs. All gold filled pieces are 14K GF. The gold filled discs are hand cut from 20 gauge, double clad gold filled sheet.

Each letter, character or design is stamped by hand, one at a time and no two pieces will come out exactly the same, making each piece a singular creation. The alignment and spacing may contain variations, which is the unique element of a hand stamped, artisan hand crafted design.

Environmental Responsibility

The majority of my WordsToWear creations are eco-friendly. I source from green silver suppliers. This means that my Sterling silver sheet and wire come from recycled silver and no new ore is mined. Additionally, every bit of scrap, each little filing from my studio is recycled.

I utilize PMC (metal clay) in some of my designs. PMC silver is created from reclaimed silver particles from the electronics industry.

I avoid environmentally caustic chemicals in my studio, opting for alternative methods for pickling and applying patina. These methods are often slower than the traditional chemical methods, but are important to me.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

If there is a problem with your jewelry, please contact me within 3 days of receiving your order.

The dimensions, sizing and gauge of metal, where appropriate, is accurately described on each product page. If you have any questions regarding the specific aspects of a design, please ask questions before placing your order.

Due to the personalized nature of your custom piece, refunds cannot be provided on custom created pieces. If a mistake is made in the creation of your piece, a replacement will be created and all shipping fees will be refunded.

Care and Cleaning

Sterling Silver will naturally tarnish over time, especially when not being worn. Various factors, including moisture, chemicals, climate and exposure to perfumes and lotions can cause tarnish to occur at a faster rate.

Copper will develop a natural patina over time. While most WordsToWear copper pieces are given a coating of Renaisance Wax in the final step of creation, this protective coating will not last forever and polishing may be needed in the future.

Payment

Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover payments are accepted.

Creation Time and Shipping

Please allow up to 14 business days from the time of order for the creation and shipment of your WordsToWear jewelry. A Rush option is available at checkout at an added charge.

During the Christmas and Mother’s Day shopping season, shipments may be delayed by a few days. I do my absolute best to adhere to my stated timeline, but no one will benefit by a rushed design. If you order creation time will extend more than 2 days beyond my stated timeframe, I will contact you to let you know of the delay.

If you need your order by a specific date please contact me prior to ordering.

Please Note- All packages are shipped via the USPS. WordsToWear is not responsible for the transit time once a package has scanned in at the post office or if the delivery time exceeds the transit times proposed by the USPS.

If shipping to a US destination, your parcel is the responsibility of WordsToWear until the time that the USPS delivery confirmation shows that the package has been delivered. WordsToWear cannot be responsible for packages once they are noted as delivered by the USPS.

During the Christmas holiday season, I ship according to the USPS shipping calendar. A cut- off date for Christmas orders will be posted on the WordsToWear home page – please order early to avoid delays.

US Domestic Shipping

Shipping is a flat rate of $5, regardless of the number of pieces you order. Order status is updated every evening. To check the status of your order, you simply need your order number and email address. You can find this information by clicking the ‘Order Status’ link in the left hand column of WordsToWear.com.

International Shipping

International Shipping is available to all destinations at a flat rate of $5, regardless of the destination. Shipment is via USPS First Class International Mail. The USPS makes no claims of specific delivery times for First Class International and shipping can take a minimum of 20 business days and in some cases more than 6 weeks for delivery.

If you are ordering internationally, and your order is time sensitive, an upgrade to International Priority Mail can be purchased at checkout.

Please Note- No tracking is available on International shipments via First Class or Priority Mail. If you have a large International order and require tracking, please contact me prior to payment for a quote on Global Express shipping.

All packages are shipped with a customs form. All duties fees are the responsibility of the buyer. WordsToWear cannot control the transit time once a package has shipped.

Order Status and Delivery Confirmation Numbers

To check the status of an order, please click the ‘Order Status’ link in the left hand column on WordsToWear.com. Order status is updated the evening of shipment.

Gift certificates

Gift Certificates make a wonderful gift and can be purchased at any time. A Gift Certificate code will be emailed to you within 24 hours of purchase.

Each gift certificate will have a unique certificate number to redeem and can be used once. No cash value will be given. Gift Certificates are good for one year.
